Greetings from 14 Henrietta Street

This hand drawn illustration by acclaimed Dublin artist Francis Leavey of the front door to Number 14, tells a personal and heartfelt story connected to the very fabric of our historic building.

With numerous awards to his name, Leavey has carved a niche for himself in the Irish art scene. His pieces are known for their ability to inspire people to find the beauty within themselves and the world around them. It is his own special connection to 14 Henrietta Street that sparked this collaboration and creation of the card. While on a tour of 14 Henrietta Street with family members who were visiting from abroad, Leavey shared with members of our team that his grandparents lived in the building, and his father began his life here 87 years ago, as documented in his grandparent's wedding certificate.

After Francis’s visit, he created the illustration and shared it on his Instagram profile, tagging us in the post. It's from this interaction on social media that prompted us to reach out and collaborate with him to create this greeting card.
