The Plough and the Stars is one of the most celebrated (and most controversial) plays ever staged in the Abbey Theatre, which has at times had as turbulent a history as the play itself.

Historian in Residence Caitlin White marks the 75th anniversary of the fire that damaged the original building and explores Sean O’Casey’s Dublin masterpiece, set in a Dublin tenement, and its legacy in the Abbey.
