Irish Sign Language Guided Tours have PIP

Since launching ISL tours at 14 Henrietta Street in 2023, we've taken important steps toward making the house’s stories more accessible to the Deaf community.
Through our advocacy, work with communities, cultural organisations, businesses, and individuals, we have continued our efforts to make 14 Henrietta Street more accessible to those who visit. Our latest improvement is the introduction of Picture-in-Picture in the films shown throughout the tour. This feature adds a visual translation in Irish Sign Language (ISL), allowing Deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors to follow the spoken content without missing the visuals on screen.
Our monthly Irish Sign Language: ISL Guided tour takes place on the first Saturday of each month. The tour is delivered exclusively in ISL with no spoken commentary. You can book your tickets here. If you have any queries or requests please email us at info@14henriettastreet.ie.
You can watch our previous Teatime Talk: A glimpse into 18th Century Dublin. The talks delves into the architectural grandeur, social dynamics, and urban development of Georgian Dublin, highlighting the stories of the people who lived in and around Henrietta Street.
