NewsTeatime TalksPublished 08 April 2025

Join Artist in Residence, Julie Merriman, at 14 Henrietta Street, as she talks about her response to the building's history and conservation. Julie will also discuss her work process; she used an obsolete stencil and ink print technology, Mimeograph, to produce a series of prints which will be on display.
Julie Merriman is a visual artist whose work examines the history of mark making in the context of language: drawn, written and programmed. Working with communities, organisations, and businesses, she investigates modes of inscription, replication, and transmission using present-day and historical data as research material.
When: 6 pm, Thursday May 8.
Teatime Talks are inspired by the history and people of 14 Henrietta Street. By listening and engaging with visitors, historians, experts, local people, former tenement residents and their families, we continue to uncover, record and respond to the 300 year story of 14 Henrietta Street.
This talk will take place in person on the 1st floor of the Museum and can be accessed via lift. The talk will run for 60 minutes. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact us on +353 1 524 0383 or email us at info@14henriettastreet.ie.
