A Special Delivery from St Ernan’s National School

Stories

Published

We were delighted to receive a very special package in the post from St Ernan’s National School in County Westmeath. The school visited 14 Henrietta Street for a tour back in October 2024, and the 5th and 6th class students in Mr. McGuire’s class recently completed a wonderful letter-writing project to share their thoughts on the experience.

Reading each student’s letter was a joy — it was heartwarming to see which parts of the visit made the biggest impression on them. Their reflections reminded us just how impactful the tour can be.

A big thank you to St Ernan’s and we look forward to welcoming them back to 14 Henrietta Street again soon. Take a look through the gallery below to read the students’ letters.

You can read more here about how to book our school tours. We also offer free online resources for primary and secondary school teachers, which have been designed to be flexible and adaptable for all levels and age groups. They can be used in the classroom or at home, and as an extra learning resource before or after a school visit to 14 Henrietta Street. The resources provide an integrated exploration of the curriculum, using history as a starting point. You can find the school resources here.
